होली (Sanskrit), Holi, or Holli, also called the Festival of Colors, is a spring festival celebrated by Hindus, Sikhs and others. It is primarily observed in India, Nepal, Sri Lanka, and countries with large Indic diaspora populations, such as Suriname, Guyana, South Africa, Trinidad, United Kingdom, United States, Mauritius, and Fiji.
Holi is celebrated with great fanfare in the India . Falling on the full moon day in the month of Phalguna, Holi is a major Hindu festival and marks the agricultural season of the Rabi crop.A bonfire is lit in the main squares of the villages and colonies. People gather around the bonfire and celebrate the event with singing and dancing, which is symbolic of the victory of good over evil.
The spring season, during which the weather changes, is believed to cause viral fever and cold. Thus, the playful throwing of natural coloured powders has a medicinal significance: the colours are traditionally made of Neem, Kumkum, Haldi, Bilvar, and other medicinal herbs prescribed by Ayurvedic doctors.
For wet colours, traditional flowers of Palash are boiled and soaked in water over night to produced yellow coloured water, which also had medicinal properties. Unfortunately the commercial aspect of celebration has led to an increase in the use of synthetic colours which, in some cases, may be toxic.

Balik tayo.... Isa ako sa mga nag-covered ng event together ng mga kasama ko sa 3PS dito sa kampo. Alas-tres ang umpisa ng program kaya mga 2:40pm dumating na ko sa venue. Di ko alam kung saan ako pwepwesto kaya nagtanong ako sa kasama ko, basta shoot lang daw ng shoot, kahit saan. Kaya yun, nag ikot-ikot lang ako sa field.
